Tyrese Voltron Jeep Wrangler

Built by the company Tyrese co-founded in 2016, Wrangler sale is part of his transition to Voltron Entertainment.

If you’re a fan of The Fast and the Furious franchise, or recall a time in the late Nineties when MTV still stood for Music Television, you might know of Tyrese Gibson, or Tyrese, for short. The actor/model/writer/et al dropped his first jam in 1998 at the age of 19, then was an MTV VJ for a time before his acting career blew up, starting with his role as Roman Pearce in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious.

In 2016, Tyrese co-founded a vehicle customization with those who knocked it out of the park with a pair of Jeeps in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious. That company, Voltron Motors, delivered a custom 2016 Wrangler Unlimited to its co-founder, one that, per TMZ, he is selling now in 2019.

The Wrangler Unlimited, now for sale at California Auto Mall in Los Angeles for a cool $109,995, contains a supercharged 3.6-liter V6 under its matte white hood, delivering 325 ponies and 300 lb-ft of torque to the set of 22-inch wheels wrapped in 38-inch tires. Those wheels are also attached to a set of front and rear FOX shocks to handle the rough-and-tumble roads in and around the City of Angels

Inside the custom Wrangler is a fully custom interior with yellow and red leather seating, a suede headliner, and a touchscreen system with banging audio to match. And of course, throughout the Jeep is the Voltron Motors logo, but not the ability to combine with other Voltron Jeeps to become a big mecha with a big sword to fight off the big bad (maybe for the next Fast and Furious film?).

As for why Tyrese is offloading his white custom Wrangler after just three years? According to TMZ, the Hollywood star is leaving Voltron Motors behind “to put his time and his money into Voltron Entertainment, where he’ll produce and release films.”
