This Custom 1961 Jeep FC150 Pickup Truck Will Blow You Away!
One of the most beautiful things about restoring a vintage car or truck, is that you get to do exactly what you want. You get the chance to make your wildest automotive dreams come true, and more importantly, you get to reap the benefits of your own hard work.
For some it’s muscle cars, for others it’s convertibles, and for others it’s Jeeps. But for a very small population, it’s non-off-road Jeeps. Say what? Just because it bears the Jeep badge, that doesn’t it mean it has to go off-roading, right? Take this custom 1961 Jeep FC150 pickup truck for example.
Joh Conway built this rest-mod Jeep FC150 from the ground up, and his vision was a tad different than most people that get their hands on a Jeep pickup truck. He dumped an LS1 Chevy V8 block in the engine bay, installed a C4 Corvette front and rear-end suspension, and swapped the brakes, tires and wheels from a modern Chevy Corvette Z06. How’s that for a Jeep, huh?
As you can see in the video below, John isn’t shy to test the limits of his little truck, as he’s already entered it in two autocross events since finishing his project. Way to go, John!
