British Company Looks to Bring Custom Jeep Work to U.S.
We just can’t get enough custom Wranglers, right?
Customizing has become an essential part of the Jeep’s DNA over the past 75 years, which is why so many companies have turned their attention on providing American Wrangler lovers with a different spin on the vehicles.
One of the latest is a popular British company by the name of Chelsea Truck Co., which is currently exploring U.S. partners to make their custom Wranglers available in the States, as highlighted in a Toledo Blade report.
More widely known for their work with Land Rover Defenders, the company has developed quite a rep for creating cool luxury SUVS like the Wrangler Black Hawk (above), which features custom paint, a four-slot grille, new bumpers, and flared fenders.
So why is Chelsea Truck Co. just now looking at dipping into the custom Jeep market in the U.S.?
“The Jeep Wrangler was by far and away the most popular vehicle at our stand,” said Chelsea’s sales manager, Joe Lomas, following the company’s showcase of the Black Hawk at the Geneva International Motor Show earlier this year. They also displayed a few higher-end vehicles, including a coachbuilt Aston Martin and six-wheel drive Land Rover Defender.
No big surprise there, right?
