’93 Jeep ZJ Cherokee Is Ready and Capable
There’s nothing like a Jeep that really loves to gets down and dirty.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I like checking out good-looking Jeeps on the paved roads just as much as the next fan. But there’s just something about a model that you know has really been beefed up specifically for going off the asphalt.
Take, for example, this 1993 ZJ Grand Cherokee owned by Scott McCall of Prescott, Arizona. The Jeep was one of several vehicles that participated in the inaugural JP Dirt ‘N Drive event, as highlighted in a Four Wheeler report.
Oh, and don’t be fooled by that faux-wood decor. This thing is revved and ready for tackling the off-road terrain. Performance features include a Clayton 7-inch long-arm suspension lift kit, Bilstein 5100 shocks, and 35×12.50R15LT Goodyear MT/R tires.
Powered by a 5.2-liter V8, the off-road warrior is also equipped with a PSC steering box and Rock Ram steering. And while Scott contends that the ’93 Grand Cherokee is a great daily driver as well, we’d much rather be tackling the backroads in this beast.
