Made my own lightbar!
So I took a intro to welding course a little while back, and decided to start on a few projects. The first one is a lightbar for the windshield, since i was little i've always loved how they looked on the older jeeps and no one really makes a nice or affordable one for the JK so i decided to put my new skills to the test.
I came up with a design based on a few different various ones I saw, I really wanted to keep it low profile and make it easily removable (Vancouver requires a lot of underground parking) and i wanted it simple, but fitting the lines of the JK.
I used the KC windshield light tabs which I had, reinforced them and welded the tubing right on to it. It took quite a while and a whole lot of measurements. I painted it with spray on bedliner to match my front bumper and bought a whole bunch of IPF lights from dave at northridge.
I didnt get a chance to take many pictures of the build process because I forgot my camera all the time, but here is what i have. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Its excessive, yes, but its mine and for my first time welding or building anything with my own hands its a great accomplishment for me!
Let me know what you all think! if you have any questions please ask
Enough talk here are the pics:
The Bar:
Side gussets to match my front bumper:

Finished Product:
All Lit Up!
