I have a buddy who has put modded 5.9 12v Cummins motors in several 1500 Dodge p/u's and everything down to the air conditioning works off the 1500's oem ECM except the tach so I don't think it would be a stretch to see the ECM work in this application.

UPDATE: yayayaya....

the jk is finally in my hands again, the exhaust job took way longer than expected but its finally done!!!!... im currently wiring up the rest of the jeep and it will be going on hp tuner hopefully by next week,,, i will be taking more pics as soon as i can but for now enjoy!!!!

i think novak is going to fix the tach problem,, i have been in contact with them and they seem to have it figured out,,, i guess we will find out

Ryan at Novak will take care of you on the tach. I have seen the last conversion Novak did in house on a TJ and they were able to get the tach operational. Just follow his instructions and you will be good to go. They used the original Jeep body computer as mentioned above, the factory sensors attached to the GM engine and then they have a conversion for the tach. Thanks for posting up the pictures, Looks good!
