Kelboski, could you crawl under your Jeep at some point and look at your bell housing where it meets up with the rear of the engine? I am curious whether it is a direct match to the 6-speed bell housing that comes with the 3.8. The bolts on the bottom of mine are about 4 inches apart and the housing itself is about 16 inches in diameter. Also the starter for the 3.8 is on the drivers side, if the diesel the same way?

Thanks very much man

Will do for you. I know that the bell housing bolt pattern IS different than the gas JK. I will check for you the mesurements. I'm not sure if advance adapters, or somewhere similiar has a fix, or not. I will give you an answer later this evening.

Sounds that way, I know, but I really just like the TJ platform. I will lose the room, which is really nice, but there is just something about that frame/body/style of Jeep that apeals to me.

I was driving the JK a little while ago, wondering how much I might regret selling it, though.

BTW, I'll get those bellhousing measurements in the AM.

LittleJon,

Your JK looks incredible, btw. That is what I would like mine to look like if I keep it.

Great Jeep.

I also like the TJ but with a diesel engine in your JK why not just get a slightly used TJ for trail use. You could pick one up and take your time turning it into the JK brother you want. Then you really will make us all envy your problems.

Hm alright. Personally I think this would be pretty bad ass. I wonder on a cost of the engine shipped here. Do you think you could PM me the guy who you bought the jeep froms contact info? I would liketo know what all is invloled with this swap.
