Okay, I have a Diesel JK....
Kelboski, could you crawl under your Jeep at some point and look at your bell housing where it meets up with the rear of the engine? I am curious whether it is a direct match to the 6-speed bell housing that comes with the 3.8. The bolts on the bottom of mine are about 4 inches apart and the housing itself is about 16 inches in diameter. Also the starter for the 3.8 is on the drivers side, if the diesel the same way?

I was driving the JK a little while ago, wondering how much I might regret selling it, though.

BTW, I'll get those bellhousing measurements in the AM.

Minneapolis, MN. The fellow I bought it from (who is a very intelligent guy) worked for Jeep/Mopar, and he also worked with Burnsville Offroad on the Jeep. The VM Motori Diesel was ordered from Germany, and shipped over. The Jeep only had 5K miles when I bought it, now it has 15K.
