soft top with a custom cage ... been done?

got a shop lined up that will do a cage for me, but i'm runnin the soft top. it depends so much on the cage bars i was wondering if anyone out there has done it.

I was considering doing this as well. It seems like it would be possible if the roll bar behind the driver was in the same spot as stock, and then the stock brackets were removed and welded onto the new cage in the same spot.

i'm pretty sure that "iadventure" member has a custom cage with trek top...

Talk to Mel at ORE he made mine with 2 inch chrome molly and both tops work!

It has been done to TJs and even unlimited TJs

can't see a reason why it shouldn't work with either 2dr or 4dr

the only thing that I would worry about is the fitment as far as gaps at the front.. other than that.. it should be really easy

i finaly officialy put in for a quote to have it done with Liquid Iron Industries. i know the Tim and does exceptional work. and with the CNC plasma and CNC benders he should be able to replicate my cage for anyone and mail it to them as a weld-in kit.
