Common issues with 2012 JK
I have a 2008 JK Unlimited and I had quite a few problems with my jeep (repalced computer, replaced clutch, replaced rear main seal, etc) with only 60K miles on it. I wonder if 2012 JKU any better in reliability. I'm considering trading for a 2012. What are some of the common issues experienced in 2012 JK so far?

Ours is sure better screwed together than our '10 was. Can't find anything wrong so far in 1100 miles, except for one slightly misadjusted drivers door.
Only recommendation I have is whatever you do if you get one, DO NOT get the 3.21 axle ratio. That's the big annoyance so far in ours. Upshift, downshift, upshift, downshift. At least the new 5spd is way smoother shifting than the old 4spd was

i only have about 2k miles on mine but no issues so far a creaky driver seat either from my big ass (6'3 330lbs) or from going offroading i took it for some serious offroading high speed dirt roads rutted and some whoops with hill climbs and generous mud and water.
i only have a stock sport s 2 door with a soft top the only mod is new wheels 15x8 mb72's and 33x12.5 goodyear duratracs and let me tell you i am impressed my jeep went through everything i through at it and came back in one piece this is not just indicitive of the '12 just how impressed i am with the jk platform and jeeps in general

I don't yet have delivery of my 2012, but from what I've gathered, the biggest issue is lack of skid protection. For that reason, EVO will be my first purchase for the new Jeep, and likely, I'll have the under armour protection ready to go before I get my Jeep.

only 900 miles on mine... I haven't noticed anything major except the hard top squeaks until I put some Dow 111 then after a few weeks it squeaks again so I had to reapply. Also you have to really slam the doors to get them shut... the first time anyone new gets into my car I have to tell them to re-close their door about 70% of the time.
