Default Serpentine belt replacement

Is it as easy as it used to be? Does anyone have a write up to replace my belt or is the manual sufficient?

It is very easy just need ratchet to turn the tensioner and it will come right off. There is a diagram of how the belt should look on a sticker in the engine compartment.

And I always throw the old one in the back for a spare. (assuming it's still functional)

Very easy with two people--one to hold the breaker bar while the other runs the belt--but one can do it fairly simply. Take a picture before you start if yours doesn't have the diagram (mine didn't).

Default Any one know the part for a 2012 with ac 2 door

id like to pick one up soon seeing i have 95,000 miles on mine. when i looked up the napa one it gave me a # nbh 25006876 but said may fit your wrangler ???? i dont want to buy the wrong part number . mines a 2012 3.6 2 door rubicon thanks if anyone can answer that for me/ im not sure if theres a mopar one or a better brand .

ok, changing a word here and there.

Very easy with two people—one to hold the breaker bar while the other “fetched a couple of beers” but one can do it fairly easy “if you get your beer before you start” take a picture before you start “just in case you have several instead of one beer”

For a serp belt, I don't think brand matters much. There are a lot of things I like to stay OEM on, but that belt is something you can see every time you open the hood. You can easily spot wear and they don't take too long to replace. I replaced with basic ACDelco on my '13 -

***if the one you remove has any life left, keep it as a trail spare. In a pinch, something is better than nothing!

Thanks for reply but i dont think thats the right one it says 43" long the mopar is like 86"
ill prob get a mopar one just to be sure some online dont give the length / one thing i dont need is to take it off and find the new one dosent fit right

We have the exact same engine. If you have a 7' 2" serp belt, best of luck to you.

All kidding aside, here are the mopar specs from Quadratec, keep in mind these are folded in half (after already being a loop) for sale -



Maybe it's just the way they are packaged and measured....I think the Mopar is showing you cut and stretched out vs. connected and folded in two.....I'll retract my little jab above but leave it cuz I don't mind getting a laugh myself, but it is the right belt, I can assure you of that. The Mopar belt is about $55.
