The Rough Country lift I installed was a mistake. Just not good enough for my needs and it caused some damage to my Jeep. Used to eat bushings like candy too.

37" tires, I never broke so much stuff with 37's.
I should have stayed on 35" max and built a buggy.

Buying a 2 door, went through several cheap lifts and bumpers, and 33s. Doing it over I would have gotten one expensive lift and bumpers.

I always shake my head in a sign of 'that's a shame' when I see a jeep with Rough Country stickers on it...

I had one on my first TJ... didn't work out well.

I had one of the shittybuilt (smittybuilt) tire carriers... sent it back within a day.

LOVE my teraflex one. $$ but works!

teraflex coil leveling kit, JKS quicker disconnects and Rubi taks off shocks. Still have the shocks on but ive taken everything else off. The shocks will be gone as soon as I can afford some new ones. I think one of them is bad. Almost rides like new again!! Finally!!! What a waste of money!!!

Default gear ratio

In response to question about my gearing.

My Jeep is a 2012 JK8 Rubicon 3.73 gears, auto with 35in Duratracs. Fine on highway, offroad I am mostly in 4L, works for me .

Just finished a 14000km/9000mile roadtrip from Victoria,BC to Victoria, TX. Avoided freeways for all except about 300 miles. No complaints on the highways in the mountains. Jeep was happy offroad in Oregon Dunes NRA, Death Valley, Moab, Big Bend and through the trees and rocks on Vancouver Island.

That being said f#cked up not getting 4.10 originally- but I don't feel underpowered. Can't see justifying new gears-yet.Time will tell.

Jks quick discos. Regret them every time I take them off and have to put them back on. Only going with a 2.5 lift instead of 3 or 3.5. And buying a eBay rear bumper (so much rust control). But I guess you live and learn. Just had to break them to have an excuse to buy something different.

What don't you like about the JKS discos? I have Rock Krawler discos and hate them (need a pry bar to get them back on), been thinking about buying the JKS.

I have to use a pry bar to get my JKS discos back on. Not real impressed with them for the money.
