It just started today, but whenever I push down my brake pedal I hear a creaking sound? The brakes work fine I just always hear that noise now? Can anyone help me diagnose this problem? Thanks alot!!

 

Mine actually started doing the same thing about a week ago. I might just throw some WD-40 on the pedal lol

 

Where exactly does the noise seem to be coming from? From the inside of the jeep near the pedal or outside the jeep? Can you recreate the noise with the engine off and push on the brake pedal by hand. Place your head uner the dash so you can see the rod that pushed into the back side of the master cylinder and listen. Or does your jeep have to be moving. If it only does it when its moving could be several things. Would help to have a better idea of exactly where you think it is coming from.

 

I ha this problem a while ago. My brake pedal squeaked and had NO technical issue; just the annoying squeak. I searched the forum and found a thread. There is a rubber boot on the arm leading to the pedal. Just squeeze and roll the boot between your fingers. I did this and it stopped the noise. Every now and then I hear it but much much less. I did this about 6 months ago.
